LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Charlotte Green is the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center's 2009 State Star, Janet M. Roderick, ASBTDC state director, has announced. Green was honored Sept. 17 at the National Association of Small Business Development Centers Annual Conference in Orlando.
Green received the State Star designation for being an exemplary performer and making a significant contribution to the Arkansas SBTDC program, Roderick said. As ASBTDC accountant, she maintains all financial, programmatic and management information system records and reports. Green, a Monticello native, has worked in the ASBTDC Lead Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock since February 2006. She is the daughter of Columbus and Caroline Green of Monticello.
"I am pleased to recognize Charlotte for extraordinary contributions to the work of the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center," said Roderick. "Her work is always accurate and precise, and she exhibits a positive, can-do approach every day."
America's Small Business Development Center Network is a partnership uniting private enterprise, government, higher education and local nonprofit economic development organizations. It is the Small Business Administration's largest partnership program, providing management and technical assistance to help Americans start, run and grow their own businesses. With about 1,000 centers across the nation, America's SBDC network provided business consulting to approximately 200,000 clients, training for more than 400,000 attendees, and other forms of management and technical assistance to approximately 600,000 small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs last year.
