3 Centers Add Counties in ASBTDC Territory Realignment

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Three offices in the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center statewide network are adding counties to their service areas in a territory realignment effective July 1.

ASBTDC State Director Janet Roderick announced June 30 that the SBTDC at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, will add Sebastian, Crawford and Franklin counties to its territory. The Henderson State SBTDC will add Scott and Yell counties, and the UALR center will expand service to Johnson, Logan and Pope counties. The eight counties were formerly served by the ASBTDC office at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith.

The ASBTDC is a partnership of the U.S. Small Business Administration, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and other institutions of higher education in Arkansas. Uniting private enterprise, government, higher education and local non-profit economic development organizations, the national network of small business development centers is the SBA's largest partnership program, providing management and technical assistance to help Americans start, run and grow their own businesses. With approximately 1,000 centers across the nation, the SBDC network assists approximately 725,000 small businesses every year.
