UA - Fort Smith names Remy as SBTDC director

WASHINGTON - R. Nick Remy is the new director of the Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith.

Remy most recently served as a commercial loan office at BancorpSouth Bank in Fayetteville and is an H&R Block Income Tax Preparation franchise owner in Booneville.

"Nick brings the right set of skills to Northwest Arkansas to meet current economic development challenges," said Steve Williams, dean of the UAFS College of Business. "His collaborative, problem-solving approach, his ability to work with all stakeholders and his commitment to serve regional small businesses will provide the right kind of leadership to advance the college, the university and the Fort Smith community."

Remy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Arkansas and is currently working on his Master of Business Administration degree from the same institution.
