Action Steps for Developing a Loan Proposal

If you in the process of developing a loan proposal, the ASBTDC offers the following suggested Action Steps. These steps are intended to help guide you through the process as point you towards suggested information and tools.

Step 1: Review the Suggested Contents of a Loan Proposal

The Developing a Loan Proposal: Suggested Contents can serve as a guide as you develop your loan proposal.

Step 2: Take the ASBTDC online Creating a Loan Package

Participating in the online Creating a Loan Package course will provide you with a good foundation as you begin to develop your proposal.

Step 3: Develop a Draft Loan Proposal

Developing a Loan Proposal: Suggested Contents should be the basis for developing a draft of your plan.

Arkansas Residents who would like a request a review of their loan proposal can contact their local ASBTDC office. The ASBTDC staff can review your loan proposal and provide suggestions and feedback.

Step 4: Update and Revise as Necessary

It is time to finalize your loan proposal. It is recommended that you have someone proofread the proposal for grammar and spelling issues as it is important to present a polished and professional image. (The ASBTDC does not offer proofreading services.)

Step 5: Submit Loan Proposal to the Potential Lender of Your Choice
