Small Business Workshops
Internal Revenue Service Tax Workshops
To assist new small business owners, the IRS conducts
small business tax workshops. Consult the Arkansas Small Business Development Center's
training calendar for dates and locations.

A three-hour morning session begins at 9:00 a.m. and
focuses on the self-employed person's estimated and
self-employment taxes, tax form filing requirements, tax
deductions and credits.
A three-hour afternoon session begins at 1:00 p.m. and
targets the small business person. Topics include employment
taxes and federal tax deposits, W-4 forms, employee
withholding forms, and tax form filing requirements for
employers.
Arkansas Sales and Use Tax Conferences
The Arkansas Department of Finance and
Administration (DFA) conducts occasional sessions in various
locations around the state. These workshops provide
information on sales and use taxes, withholding taxes, and
tax incentive programs. These sessions are listed on the

The workshop provides information about the
SBA's guaranteed loan programs, including loan eligibility
and credit criteria to qualify. Participants have the
opportunity to ask questions during the session. SBA
brochures and reference materials can be picked up for future
reference.
