Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas
by Michael Singleton, Business Consultant, HSU SBDC

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas has an exciting program available to most small business owners. The EDPPlus provides grant funds to help small businesses expand and create jobs.

The grant funds may be used to assist small businesses in accessing needed working capital to purchase or construct buildings, expand existing facilities, purchase machinery and equipment, or pay closing costs.

The EDPPlus grant funds require borrowing through a member bank and owner injection. The grants are awarded for up to 15% of the project with a maximum of $25,000.

To be eligible, small businesses must fall into one of three categories: targeted income, targeted services, or qualified wages. In addition, the business must work with a local Small Business Development Center.

To learn more about the program, contact your local member bank or visit FHLB on the web at www.fhlb.com.
