8 Key Writing Steps for Online Campaigns
by Timothy Lee, Associate Extension Specialist, UALR Lead Center

Patsi Krakoff of Writing on the Web offers her 8 key steps for conducting an online campaign.

1. Sales copy
2. Email marketing messages
3. Thank you pages and thank you autoresponders
4. Survey questions & survey results report
5. Press releases
6. Video tips (2-3 minutes long)
7. Blog posts (multiple over a one month period)
8. Updates posted to social networking sites: Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, MySpace, etc.

Patsi used the 8 steps herself to promote a free teleseminar called The 5 Traps of Internet Marketing. She and her team got about 1,000 people to register for the call. From that, she promoted a paid program, registering 94 participants (a 9.4% conversion rate) and netted $18,000.

Patsi's partner, Denise Wakeman, is outlining in detail all the promotional steps they did over on the BizTips Blog.
