Your Private Cell Phone Information Is For Sale
by Timothy Lee, Associate Extension Specialist, UALR Lead Center

A Florida television station recently discovered that several new online businesses offer to sell the last 100 telephone numbers dialed from any cell phone. Reports are available for as little as $100.

Once any fees are paid, anyone, including employers, can receive a list of your calls. Currently, the services are not illegal in Florida and many other states.

If you believe someone has accessed your private information through one of these sites, you should contact the state Attorney General's office.
