Using Signage to Market your Business
by Betsey Martin, UALR Lead Center

Neon, vinyl, awnings, billboards – what’s your signage?

Have you put much thought into designing your business signage? Business signs not only direct customers to your location, but also provide vital information about the business (store hours, policies, products, and brands). Also, signs can create an image of your business – so think carefully, plan, and budget for signs.

The Arkansas SBDC has introduced a new collection in the Research Center dealing with business signage. Some of the resources include:

- On-Premise Signs as Marketing Devices and Systems
- The Signage Sourcebook
- Unmasking the Myths About Signs

Please visit the U.S. Small Business Administration’s web link devoted to signage: http://www.sba.gov/starting/signage/index.htm

To view the books, (on site in Little Rock), contact the UALR SBDC's lead center at 501-324-9043.
