Report Reveals Arkansas' Standing in High-Tech Community

According to data obtained from the American Electronics Association, Arkansas ranks 40th in high-tech employment and 44th in high-tech average wages. The AEA, a leading trade association for technology businesses, represents companies in electronics, telecommunications, Internet technology and medical devices and other related fields.

Other Arkansas high-tech facts include:

- the state ranks 48th in R&D (per capita) & 40th in venture capital investments
- 29 of every 1,000 private sector workers are employed by high-tech firms
- telecommunications services is the leading high-tech industry segment
