NIH/CDC Amends Contract Solicitation
by Mildred Holley, Technology Programs Manager

Small businesses interested in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) contract solicitation for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) research proposals should note that the NIH and CDC have issued two amendments since the solicitation's August 2 release. It is important to review these for possible effect on your plans to submit a proposal in this competition. One amendment added 6 new CDC topics and the second change expanded 2 NIH topics to allow FastTrack applications.

The submission deadline remains November 5. The changes made via the amendments have been incorporated into the Contract Proposal Solicitation document available at http://grants1.nih.gov/grants/funding/sbir.htm#contracts.
