Family Business Issues
by Marci Lincoln, Training Coordinator, ASU SBDC

Family businesses have a special set of challenges on top of regular business operation issues. Family businesses must focus on communication and establish written plans of action in order to avoid family conflicts.

The Arkansas State University Small Business Development Center and the ASU Center for Entrepreneurial and Family Business Studies is offering the Second Annual Family Business Practices Conference this Thursday, October 23, 2003, in Jonesboro.

This year's event will feature concurrent sessions where conference attendees will have their choice of two different sessions each hour. Lunch will be provided, as well as time for networking and getting to know your fellow small business owners in Northeast Arkansas.

Today is the deadline for registration. To register, contact the ASU SBDC office at (870) 972-3517.
