HUD to Host Small Business Conference in Little Rock

The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development will sponsor a one-day Small Business Conference in Little Rock on Thursday, October 30, 2003, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the UA Cooperative Extension Service, 2301 S. University Avenue.

The purpose of the conference is to provide information on HUD and other agency procurement opportunities for Arkansas small busineses. This includes small businesses owned by the disadvantaged (SDB), women business owners (SWOB), service disabled veterans (SDVB), and those located in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), or part of the 8(a) Business Development Program (8(a)).

In addition to workshops, conference cosponsors and others will host Resource Tables for additional information.

Conference cosponsors include: Arkansas Small Business Development Center, UA Cooperative Extension Service - Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center, Arkansas Department of Economic Development, Arkansas Regional Minority Supplier Development Council, City of Little Rock, U.S. Small Business Administration, Fannie Mae, and more.
