U.S. Department of Energy Requires DUNS Number

The Department of Energy has announced that it will require grant applicants to provide a Dun and Bradstreet Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number when applying for a federal grant or cooperative agreement on or after October 1, 2003. Individuals who would personally receive a grant award apart from any business is exempt from
this requirement. You must include this number on the SBIR/STTR Grant Application Cover Page.

To obtain a number at no cost, call toll-free 1-866-705-5711 or visit the Dun & Bradstreet web site at http://www.dnb.com. Allow 30 days to receive a number.
