Phillip Sawyer began working with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock ASBTDC in 2005 when he was thinking about purchasing a business. After much careful consideration along with research and planning assistance from the ASBTDC, Sawyer purchased Sign-A-Rama of Sherwood.
He has continued to work with the ASBTDC as his business has grown. Sawyer's commitment to marketing has helped him grow his business. Through Heather Robinette, consulting manager with the UALR ASBTDC, Sawyer learned about the ASBTDC's Web optimization services.
A Web optimization analysis was performed on the company's site, www.signaramanlr.com, and Robinette developed a report of the findings. The report recommended adjustments that could be made to the site to increase traffic and help customers find Sign-A-Rama's products and services on search engines such as Google and Yahoo.
Robinette shared the results with Sawyer and his staff and provided specific suggestions for improving site traffic. Incorporating suggestions provided in the report, the company recently completed the redesign of its site and is looking forward to increased customer traffic.
